Doctoral Psychology Internship
Pasadena Clinical Group offers a doctoral-level psychology internship designed for graduate students seeking supervised clinical experience with an older adult population. Our program provides a unique opportunity to develop specialized skills in geriatric mental health within a supportive, professional environment.
Program Overview
Our internship program is structured to provide doctoral psychology students with hands-on clinical training. Under the guidance of experienced licensed clinicians, interns gain practical experience conducting individual therapy, psychological assessments, and treatment planning for adults aged 50 and older.

Who Should Apply
This program is designed for doctoral-level psychology students (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) who are enrolled in an accredited graduate program and have completed the required prerequisite coursework. Training Focus Areas
Clinical Skills
Individual therapy, intake assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and progress monitoring with older adult clients.
Geriatric Psychology
Specialized training in the psychological challenges of aging, including cognitive changes, health-related concerns, and end-of-life issues.
Evidence-Based Practice
Training in cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive psychotherapy, and other modalities adapted for older adults.
Ethics & Professionalism
Guidance on ethical practice, cultural competence, documentation, and professional identity development.
Supervision & Mentorship
Interns receive regular individual supervision from licensed psychologists with extensive experience in geriatric mental health. Group supervision provides additional opportunities for case consultation, peer learning, and professional growth. Our supervisors are committed to helping interns develop confidence and competence as emerging clinicians.
